Movie Review: Namaku Dick , Ada Kamu Aku Ada May 13, 2008

Due to limited dating fund, we decided to have our dates in a much cheaper local cinema (Lippo Cikarang) that plays mostly Indonesian movies. I love comedy while he prefers romantic drama -_-. So when we got to the cinema we had some decision making trouble, I wanted to watch “Namaku Dick”, while my boyfriend preferred “Ada Kamu Aku Ada”. We decided to take turns, watch “Namaku Dick” that day and then the next day “Ada Kamu Aku Ada”. So I’ll review both movies here.
Namaku Dick (My name is Dick)
As I expected, it was a seriously funny movie ! ^.^ I laughed so hard that I cried. Tora Sudiro played the handsome playboy architect whose ermm ..pardon .. penis began to speak to him after being cursed by an ex girlfriend. Ever since his penis started to talk to him, his life changed drastically - his career was in turmoil, people began to look at him weird, and well … you can imagine the rest. What did he do to get out of the mess? ^^ Just watch !
Unfortunately although it was funny, the later half of the movie seemed slow and rather boring, the ending felt a bit ‘forced’ (maksa) too. I give this 7 out of 10.
Ada Kamu Aku Ada (You were there and so was I - poor translation)
A pretty party girl (played by Bunga Citra Lestari) has a filthy rich boyfriend that could buy her anything she wants in the world. He’d been unfaithful, philandering, selfish and self-absorbed, but she could see nothing of that, thanks to the power of love and the key to a luxurious apartment. By accident, she met a poor but handsome guitarist and grew in love with him. You can guess the rest. The plus side : you get too see Bunga Citra Lestari in short shorts and low cut blouses.
I give this 5 out of 10.
The ticket to the movies costs only Rp. 10,000 (US$ 1) ! So it was all good ^_^.
have you watched ironman and forbidden kingdom?
ironman not yet, forbidden kingdom yes ! -_- but I slept in some parts of the film .
Hahahhaa… Lo mesti ntn Narnia kalo gitu.. oks banget..
San.. elo mesti nonton Warkop kalo gitu… romantic komedi..
Misalkan: Dongkrak antik, Maju kena mundur kena, dll…
warkop romantic ?? masa sih ? somehow i dont find warkop funny +_+, I was a big fan of bagito instead.. and of course Srimulat ^^
ironman keren abis miss! cepet nonton deh, kalo bisa di bioskop (kalo masih ada :P)

ironman kayaknya belum masuk lipcik, mudah2an masuk bentar lagi heeheheh, namaku dick beli DVDnya ajaaaa . Kungfu panda !! Pengen nonton !!! Bf udah beli game-nya hihihi kayaknya memang a-must-see !
